The Redevelopment Agency
Should San Marcos realize its potential as the "jewel" of north San Diego County, its success will have been due in no small measure to an aggressive, far-reaching redevelopment program.
The Redevelopment Agency´s other major charge under state law is affordable housing. To meet that mandate, the Agency has helped, or is in the process of assisting, approximately 1,300 low to moderate income mobilehome residents buy the space their coach is located on. The Agency has also provided financial and/or technical assistance to a number of equally worthwhile rental affordable housing projects with in the city.
